Welcome to TSC in 2010!

We are still all over in Breckenridge, snowboarding training and competing but wanted to let you know the early plan for season 2010 in Australia and New Zealand and how you can become involved.

If you have not checked out our blog yet, please do so, there is a link here on the front page, you can see what we have been up to in the USA over the summer school holidays.

This Australian winter from July to September we will be operating as per usual our weekend and school holiday programs at Mt Buller including accomodation and travel from Melbourne and through out Australia.

New for 2010 will be our year round National Slopestyle Competition training program for snowboarders from around Australia. Participants will need to undergo an application and selection process based on comp results and experience. With slopestyle coaches Andy Lloyd, Jarrod Wouters and guest coaches Robbie Walker and Tom Pelley . This program will train in various resorts in Australia, New Zealand and Breckenridge USA during school holidays with training blocks that fit with the academic school year and competition schedule.

There will also be a grom development program for riders 13 and under that includes halfpipe and slopestyle, this camp will be based out of New Zealand for 3 weeks in the September School holidays including competition at New Zealand Nationals and a training camp out of Colorado competing in the USASA series at the end of the year. Early Bird Passes

TSC is currently enjoying the Christmas season over in Breckenridge, Colorado. It's only early, but it's time to start thinking about the 2010 Australian season.

Mt Buller has very early bird season passes for sale online. They are 20% off until the 25th of December 2009.

TSC Breckenridge Slopestyle Squad

We are pleased to annouce the 2009/2010 Breckenridge TSC Slopestyle Development Team.

With many riders putting there hand up to make the team this year we had some tough decisions. Based on results, progression and attitude to training we made the decision.

With the team having opportunities to represent Australian in junior slopestyle competitions in the USA and every chance to qualify for the junior world championships in New Zealand we look forward to training with the following aspiring elite snowboard athletes for the next 2.5 months:

We have also appointed pro rider Andy Lloyd K2, HOLDEN as coach for the Breckenridge Camp. Andy brings years of coaching experience to the team working as a Freestyle Snowboard Coach with the Northstar Snowboard Team in Lake Tahoe for the past few seasons. Welcome to the team Andy!!!!

TSC Riders Make National Jnr Development Squads

We are proud to announce that two more snowboarders from TSC have made the National Junior Halfpipe Development Squad. Congratulations to (15) Henry Gosper and (16) Jack Carlin.

With nine snowboarders originally from TSC now aspiring to Olympic Halfpipe glory the boys join other TSC team athletes Lauren Staveley, Cameron Staveley and Luke Staveley for a halfpipe specific snowboard camp at Breckenridge Colorado this Northern Season for three months.

Taking the first semester off school in 2010 is a big step for any aspiring student but not to worry the program and schools support each other with a private tutor. All the athletes will be completing there studies and training at an elite snowboard level at the same time.

Keep and eye out for TSC alumni (15) Scott James as he tried to qualify for Vancouver 2010 in Saas Fee in the coming weeks along with Jason Maxfield and Jarryd Williams aiming for 2014
