TSC Represents at Stylewars
TSC riders Tim Laidlaw, Iver Lynne and Andrew Roth all competed in the invite only 4 Star TTR Stylewars event last week.

Stylewars-RothStylewars owner Richard Heggarty asked the boys to step up for the first time when international team budget restraits had kept few key international riders at home. Rich was super keen to give up and coming talent and oppportunity and with a world class field the boys did not dissapoint.

Riding alongside riders such as Danny Kass, Sebastian Toutant, Charles Reid, Mikkel Bang the list goes on, the boys got invaluable competition experience on the monster 28 stairs and 80 foot plus long big air jump.

Timmy came in to a bit of trouble in the warm up to the 28 stair rail jam which would put him out of the event but like a trooper he stuck around to support his buddies. In not suprising form Rothy dominated the rail, with smooth big tricks through the kick and even gapping the gnarly kink through the centre he may have just missed out on the international pack rail jam final.

On to the jumps the boys kept holding there own, they showed up many top Australian snowboarders who chose to sit out the big air event. Roth was one of the first Australian's to stomp a huge 540 in training nearly landing flat in the warm up while Iver struggled a bit with speed and technical errors in practise. But come the jam format Iver landed a smooth big 720 which was an amazing achievement after the heavy fall he had the run before. Rothy also continued to ride well with massive airs and collections of 720's and 900's variations but unfortuantly came unstuck on his landings.

stylewars-timmeThe other Australians that dominated at the event were clearly Kieran McLaughlan, Chris Decampo and Charlie Steinbacher. All the new generation of local snowboarders who gave it a good hard honest go.

The boys ended the day with big smiles and some major bruises and strains after sessioning such a big jump. Any crash can be painful, but they all rode home better and stronger riders amping for the next big air event.
