| TSC RIDER TIM LAIDLAW WINS BATTLE WITH TEAM QUIKSILVER |
15 Year old Mount Hotham TSC comp team rider Tim Laidlaw was part of the winning duo Team Quicksilver (along with Nathan Perry from Perisher) in the invite only Team Battle for Supremacy on Saturday night. Tim won $6000 for his efforts in his first major open snowboarding event win, splitting $12,000 with Nathan. Tim was in shock after the event and had thought they were very much the darkhorses. Beating out Australia's best snowboarders including Team K2 Robbie Walker and Andy Lloyd and Team Burton Jye Kearney and TSC coach Tom Pelley, Tom said after the event "he is never going to hear the end of it from young grom Tim". Congrats Timmie from all the coaches and kids at TSC... Check out what our friends at WinterVolume had to say about the event over here http://www.wintervolume.com/snowboard_news_details.php?id=25 |
